A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of ‘Trees’.
Google defines the term ‘tree’ to be “a woody perennial plant, typically having a single stem or trunk growing to a considerable height and bearing lateral branches at some distance from the ground.”
Wikipedia offers a much more detailed meaning. It states as follows: “In botany, a tree is a perennial plant with an elongated stem, or trunk, usually supporting branches and leaves. In some usages, the definition of a tree may be narrower, including only woody plants with secondary growth, plants that are usable as lumber or plants above a specified height.”
Beyond these scientific definitions, trees are crucial to life. From the papers we use to many fruits we eat to the furniture we use, trees are what is the original source. Without trees, we wouldn’t be able to imagine life!
Say no to deforestation and save trees that give life!
