1 Minute Speech on the Indian Constitution In English

Good morning to one and all present here. Today, I’ll be giving a short speech on the topic of the Indian Constitution.

The Constitution of India is the supreme law in India. According to Wikipedia, this is the document that “lays down the framework that demarcates fundamental political code, structure, procedures, powers, and duties of government institutions and sets out fundamental rights, directive principles, and the duties of citizens.”

Bhimrao Ambedkar is considered to be the architect of the Indian Constitution.

It is worth noting that the Constitution of India is the longest Constitution in the world. It is made up of an estimate of about 1,45,000 words, making it the world’s second-largest functioning constitution as well. Currently, it consists of a preamble, 25 parts with 12 schedules, 5 appendices, four 48 articles, and 101 amendments.

The Republic Day of India, celebrated on the 26th of January every year, is a commemoration of the adoption of the Indian Constitution on 26th November, 1949.

Thank you.
