A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a small speech on the topic of the importance of natural resources.
Natural resources, as can be derived from the name in itself, refers to those resources that are derived from nature. Google, in fact, defines natural resources to be “materials or substances occurring in nature which can be exploited for economic gain.”
Fruits, vegetables, cereals, pulses, milk, meat, sunlight, oxygen, soil, water, wood, minerals, and some types of fuel such as coal are common examples of natural resources. From this, it can be gathered that natural resources are very important for human sustenance, arguably more crucial than other kinds of resources given that they provide our very food!
However, man’s greed has made way for human beings to over exploit these natural resources for their personal gains. Even though they are largely renewable resources, care must be taken to not deplete them beyond a limit.
