Good morning to one and all present here. Today, I’ll be giving a short speech on the topic of the “Importance of Culture”.
Google defines culture to be “the ideas, customs, and social behaviour of a particular people or society.” This, of course, is very important in one’s life as it shapes their very identity.
Culture, as can be seen from the definition, is a culmination of a variety of things. This, as a whole, helps define a person and distinguish their ethnicity and origins.
The most important element of culture perhaps is language. The mother tongue of a person plays a major role in their life. So do religion and the fundamental beliefs and ideology they possess.
The customs and traditions of the particular community a person lbelongs to also form a major part of one’s life as they share an emotional intimacy with these. At the basic level, the food they are accustomed to also marks one’s culture.
