1 Minute Speech on Punctuality In English

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a small speech on the topic of punctuality.

Wikipedia defines the term ‘punctuality’ as follows: “Punctuality is the characteristic of being able to complete a required task or fulfill an obligation before or at a previously designated time.”

Simply put, punctuality, as Google rightly states, is “the fact or quality of being on time.” Thus, by extension, punctuality would also involve not being late.

Punctuality is a trait every one of us here must aim to acquire. Being punctual creates a respectable image of ourselves to the outside world. Not being late shows the world that we are responsible and take the given work seriously. It helps build a positive image of us thus. Again, completing tasks punctually is also a burden off our backs and will help us breathe a little easier!

“Better three hours too soon than a minute too late,” said Shakespeare.

Be on time, be punctual!

Thank you.
