A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I’ll be giving a short speech on the topic of ‘Passion’.
Wikipedia defines the word ‘passion’ to be “a term used to denote strong and intractable or barely controllable emotion or inclination with respect to a particular person or thing.”
Passion is thus an emotion that can be best described to be uncontrollable or irrepressible in nature. Again, as the definition so aptly describes, passion, or rather, being passionate involves not just people but even objects.
In this sense, a person’s goals, aspirations, dreams, and ambitions could qualify to become a passion, just as much as their hobbies and other interests can. Again, a person who could be an inspiration or someone one happens to look up to could become a passion to obsess over.
No matter what, one should never let this passion die out in life, just as Oprah Winfrey said, “Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.”
