A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of Our Education.
We all would surely be accustomed to the term education on an almost intimate level at this stage of our lives. But, have we ever paused to wonder about the purpose of our education?
Wikipedia defines the term ‘education’ to be “a purposeful activity directed at achieving certain aims, such as transmitting knowledge or fostering skills and character traits. These aims may include the development of understanding, rationality, kindness, and honesty.”
Education is thus not only confined to mere theoretical knowledge as it is often misinterpreted to be. It is rather a holistic process which aims to hone us to become as qualified individuals as we grow up into adulthood.
When I say ‘qualified’, I do not just refer to the essential skill sets that one requires to bag a job but to become humanitarian. Hence, our education is crucial in our lives.
