A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of ‘Medical Science’.
Google defines the term ‘medical science’ to be “the branch of science concerned with the study of the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.”
Medical science thus deals with the ways of the human body. Studying medical science usually involves an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery- in Latin, Medicinae Baccalaureus Baccalaureus Chirurgiae) course. It spans over a duration of 5 and a half years which includes an internship.
The course begins with basic biology. Again, it is divided into areas of specialization, such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology with some biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, and genetics.
To get into any course in medical science, students of India (who have graduated 12th grade with the relevant science subjects, preferably a Physics+Chemistry+Bioloy group, with or without mathematics) are required to clear the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam
