A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a small speech on the topic of “Laughter is the Best Medicine”.
This is a well-known proverb I am sure all of us here must have come across at some point in our lives. Laughter, indeed, is considered to be the best medicine and best therapy.
It cannot be denied that two major health issues prone to most of us today are stress and anxiety. This, in turn, leads to even more dire consequences such as chronic depression and other mental ailments. Laughter proves to be the best solution for such issues.
It is scientifically proven that laughter alleviates stress and feelings of anxiety by increasing the overall production of serotonin in the body, the hormone responsible for inducing happiness. Laughter even boosts immunity. For this, laughter therapy is introduced wherein, to relieve pain and stress, one slowly starts a laugh and develops it into full-fledged laughter.
