Good morning to one and all present here. Today, I’ll be giving a short speech on the topic ‘Hard Work’.
“Dream big”, said A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Wise words, yes, but is dreaming big alone enough to make them come true?
Not quite. To actualize our dreams and aspirations, we must do more than build mere castles in the air. We must make efforts to make them come true, which is hard work.
Hard work, essentially, is the vigorous exertions we put in order to achieve our desired goal. Putting in mere work, of course, will never guarantee success. It is the extra mile that one goes that actually counts.
Thomas Edison, the renowned scientist, has said “There is no substitute for hard work.” Indeed, hard work is the key to success in anyone’s life.
Once the right opportunity presents itself, seize it. Never sit idly about waiting for it to put effort into itself and manifest into what you desire it to be!
Remember, hard work never fails.
