Football is one of the most popular sports worldwide. It is a game that involves two teams of eleven players each. Players must send the football into the opposing team’s net to score goals. The team with more goals wins the match. Football players have positions such as attacker, defender, midfielder and goalkeeper, depending on their role on the field.
Football leagues take place throughout the world, with the European leagues being subject to extreme fanfare. FIFA or the International Federation of Association Football is the governing body for international football matches. The next FIFA World Cup is set to take place in 2022.
