1 Minute Speech on Feminism In English

Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends, a wonderful morning to all of you. Today on this special occasion, I would like to speak some words on the topic- Feminism.

Feminism is the ideology that believes in the equality of the genders. As we all know, society is deeply patriarchal and has always prioritised men over women. As a result, women have been constantly deprived of their rights in every field. Feminism seeks to combat this issue of deep-seated gender inequality so that women can one day enjoy the same status as men.

Feminism first started as a movement in the late 19th century, with the suffragettes in England fighting for womenโ€™s right to vote. Since then, it has evolved into an intersectional movement that strives for womenโ€™s social, political, economic and personal rights.

To conclude, we must all be feminists to one day achieve the dream of equality! Thank you for listening to me so attentively.
