Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends, a wonderful morning to all of you. Today on this special occasion, I would like to speak some words on the topic- Earth Day.
Every year on the 22nd of April, Earth Day is celebrated worldwide. The earth that we inhabit is a beautiful planet, and the only planet that supports life. All of us are alive because of how wonderful the earth is. Earth Day celebrates the beauty of the earth and affirms our vow to protect it from environmental pollution.
The beauty of the earth has been constantly under threat due to rising levels of pollution. Humans have been exploiting the planet to no end and harming all creatures on it. Earth Day is a day against all such evils, and it is a reminder to us to preserve the planet earth.
To conclude, Earth Day is indeed a day with an important message! Thank you for listening to me so attentively.
