1 Minute Speech on Deforestation in English

Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends, a wonderful morning to all of you. Today on this special occasion, I would like to speak some words on the topic- Deforestation.

The cutting down of trees is also known as deforestation. In recent years, due to large scale industrialisation and urbanisation, acres of forest land have been entirely wiped out, resulting in massive deforestation. It is extremely concerning because deforestation has very dire consequences.

Deforestation leads to global warming and climate change, destroying the delicate balance of nature and harming all living creatures. It also causes soil erosion, which leads to environmental disasters such as floods and landslides. In addition, thousands of animals who inhabit these forests are killed during the process of deforestation.

To conclude, we must do our best to prevent deforestation and save the environment from its consequences! Thank you for listening to me so attentively.
