A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I’ll be giving a small speech on the topic ‘Corruption in India’.
“Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely” is an age-old adage known by all. True to this statement, those who are in higher ranks in society- essentially, those in power- are prone to corruption. They are known to horde money, stashing them away as black money and effectively hurting the Indian economy as a whole. This also keeps widening the already huge gap between the rich and the poor, making those who are rich richer and those who are poor poorer.
However, all this has reduced significantly ever since the recent Demonetization that has eradicated a majority of counterfeit notes. With Cashless India now in full swing, let us hope corruption will be fully wiped out one day.
