Subject: Missile Man of India.

Dear Jai,

I hope this letter finds you in the best of spirits.

Since you missed school yesterday I will fill you up on the details. We celebrated the birthday of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam yesterday. Did you know he is called the Missile Man of India? I was so inspired by listening to his biography. He was an Indian aerospace scientist and statesman who served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. Isn’t that inspiring? The most striking part is, he was not born into a wealthy family. Infact, as a young boy he had to sell newspapers to earn money. However, with determination and perseverance, he defeated all unfavourable circumstances and arose as an ingenious scientist. His contribution in India’s development of missiles and nuclear weapons program is noteworthy. He was also awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1997.
