How are you? We are doing well here. Two days ago, as I was spending some alone time at the park near my house, I heard very beautiful music being played on the mobile phone of a person sitting near me. I found the song so pleasing that I approached the person and asked him about the music. He said that it is a Bangla folk song, popular in Bangladesh. I went back home and searched on YouTube for Bangladeshi folk songs. I played some music and found it to be very soothing and beautiful. I later read about it on the Internet. I learned that there are various styles of Bangladesh folk songs. Folk music can be classified into various genres, of which “Baul” is the most commonly known. Traditional singers popularised folk songs prior to the invention of radio. Today, technology has advanced to the point where these songs can reach us. I recommend you listen to folk songs from Bangladesh. You will like it.
