Subject: Issue of the dowry system
Sir/Madam,
Through an article in your newspaper, I would like to draw attention towards the issue of the dowry system.
The Dowry System has been a problem in our society for a long time and slowly has been eating the insides of most Indian women. But the problem has not been completely solved in our society. There are still a lot of women who suffer from this ancient practice. It’s unimaginable how constricting this practice can be for women.
It not only affect people mentally but in many cases lead to suicides and murders of women. It is high time that strict actions should be taken against the people who continue to practice the dowry system. There should be a serious investigation that should lead to punishment of such people.
I hope that the prestigious columns of your newspaper will help reach this issue to the concerned authorities so that this problem can be uprooted from our society.
