Subject: Letter regarding the issue of menace of hawkers encroaching the roads
Sir/Madam,
Through an article in your newspaper, I would like to draw attention towards the issue of menace of hawkers encroaching the roads .
Mumbai is a busy city, there are always people bustling here and there on the streets. There is barely enough time and space to reach your destination on time. Recently, I have been noticing a lot of hawkers with enormous carts on the streets. Now, I understand the need of these hawkers to sell their goods on the busy streets.
But most often than not, they only succeed in creating a lot of chaos and confusion for everyone present around. I think that there must be a designated area for these hawkers to peacefully sell their odds so they do not get in anyone’s way. The hawkers can also adapt to amore calm and respectful manner to the people around him.
I hope that the prestigious columns of your newspaper will help this issue reach the concerned authorities which will help these hawkers to live a comparatively peaceful and safe life.
