Good morning to our respected principal, teachers and my dear friends. Today we have gathered here to celebrate this special occasion. I would like to speak a few words on my hobby, dancing.

A hobby is an activity that is done regularly mostly in the free time and it is done for enjoyment. We all have some hobbies like singing, dancing, cooking, listening to music, etc.

My hobby is dancing. If you are bored with your routine in life, you should start learning some dance moves. The best thing about dance is that it has various forms such as classical, Bollywood, bhangra, Kathak, Kuchipudi, etc. You can choose the style you like. I personally like bhangra because of the music beats and dance steps.

Dancing as a hobby is packed with a lot of health benefits. It keeps you physically and mentally active. When you dance, your body releases endorphins which are also known as happy hormones as they are responsible for your feeling of happiness. Hence, it helps in improving stress levels.

Dancing can improve flexibility and strength. You can have healthier joints and muscles with some dancing moves. It also helps you to learn about your body. You will have better posture and body balance.

It is a good activity for people with cardiovascular diseases. Such people can dance and improve their heart health. It also opens career opportunities for people. Many people aspire to be a choreographer today.

By mastering dance moves you gain a lot of confidence and self-esteem. You also get an opportunity to interact with people from diverse cultures as this improves communication skills.

In the end, I would like to say that even if you don’t have dance as your hobby, do try some dance moves. You will be a happier person.
