Subject: Leave application due to the death of the father
Sir/Mam,
With deep grief and sorrow, I want to state that my father expired today. The whole family is in shock. He was the only bread earner. There is mourning and crying in the house. Necessary rites and rituals are being organised for his eternal peace.
Hence, I request you to grant me a week leave so that I may be able to attend the last rituals of my dear father.
