Well, when the word ‘work’ comes in our mind, hatred accompanies it because we have made ourselves to believe that work is the antonym of joy. Most of us have believed that ‘to enjoy, we have to give up work’, and ‘to work we have to give up enjoyment’.
But if you lend your heart to the following acts, there is some possibility that you will start enjoying your work as well as your life a little.
Following are some really simple acts for enjoying yourself while working.
1. DO EVERYTHING ACCORDING TO TIMETABLE
It is our common habit, particularly of students, to take a book and keep opened before them for infinite time. Well, it makes you bored and your mind becomes dull.
Take a blank paper and write down all the activities that you commonly do during the day. Now roughly write down the time that you spend on each activity. Now give each activity a particular time in which you should accomplish it either by hook or by crook and act accordingly.
If you are a student, give each subject 50 minutes or what suits you more and study each subject in its particular period. You will notice that you will be very crucial about the time while doing any task and you will never get bored while doing it.
2. MAKE TIME FOR ENJOYMENT
Keeping yourself busy in work will make your life dull. You should give time to such activities as well that you enjoy. E.g. watching Television, playing games, exercising, gardening, blogging, internet surfing etc. All these activities should also go hand-in-hand along with your routine work.
3. FIND SOME WAYS TO ENJOY YOUR WORK
Nothing is impossible. Even the routine work that you do has also some enjoyment, that is hidden from you and you have to discover it. E.g. while studying, imagine yourself in the situations which are described in the books.
As a student, you should never study more than you mind allows. While studying, take small breaks. E.g. if you are studying a particular subject, take 10 minutes rest after every 50 minutes of study. It will refresh your mind and you will be able to concentrate more on your subject. It will also prevent boredom.
4. HAVE SHORT-TERM AS WELL AS LONG-TERM GOALS
Every day, before starting your routine work, make short-term goals as well as long-term goals. Short term goals means, the tasks that you have to accomplish in that particular day and long-term goals mean the ultimate destiny of your work. Both these goals should go hand-in-hand.
Goals are very important in your life. If you have no goals then perhaps, you have no future, as some thinker has truly said that “A person without a goal is just like a ship without shudder.”
5. EXERCISE-BOTH OF MIND AND BODY
Every day start your day with exercise. You should do both physical as well as mental exercise. Physical exercise will refresh your body as well as boost your immune system. On the other hand, meditation and silent prayer will refresh your mind and boost your will-power and self-confidence.
6. WATER-THE BEST REMEDY
You should drink water immediately after waking up and just before going to bed. Keep a bottle of water with yourself and drink it often while working. It will keep you energetic and will also help you to concentrate on your work.
7. REST IS MUST
Never work on the cost of sleep. Sleep is very important for our body. It is the natural cure for most of our physical and mental problems. You should not keep yourself awaken till late night. Sleep, at least for five hours in the night and for two hours in the day and you will never get tired of your routine work.
8. BELIEVE IN ALMIGHTY
Have full faith in the Creator. Pray Him to show you the apt path and also for a better present as well as a better future. Praying to Almighty is one of the best exercises of mind as well as of body. Have hope, do your best and let Him to do the rest.
None of the above acts are difficult to perform. Just give a try to these simple activities and be the master of your life.
