Indian heritage is the outcome of various lifestyles of the people. It is the outcome of economic, social and cultural developments of the society. Indian cultural heritage consists of its various religions, the architectures, and art forms like dance and festivals, cuisine, clothing, family structures, and the Epics representing its traditions.

Some of the most ancient civilizations including some major world religions, Jainism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Sikhism have found their roots in India. India’s romance and its fascination with the art of dance have been seen living with people. Every gesture applied in a dance performance seeks to express some of the ideas. Each facial expression tries to deliver some emotions. India is known as the land of festivals and the unique ways of celebrating them. The festivals like Holi, Navratri, Durga Puja, Eid, and Bihu etc. have been the most integral parts of Indian cultural heritage.

The tradition of clothing in India varies as it is the land of diverse cultures, religions, and communities. The popular styles in dresses consist of Sari for women, dhoti or lungi for the men, and churidar or salwar-kameez for women with a dupatta put over the shoulder. The epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata are the oldest preserved epics of India. All these add to the richness of India’s Cultural Heritage.
