The Tempest by William Shakespeare

The play also contains the idea of colonialism which was later used by the western countries to rule almost the whole world. The play, like most of the other important plays of Shakespeare, is divided into five acts which we will discuss in detail and scene-wise in this course.

The Tempest is considered to be the last play by William Shakespeare which was written alone by him probably between 1610-11. The Tempest is a story of love, revenge, deceit, supernaturalism (magic) and finally a happy ending.

We will also discuss important characters in the play, analysis and important themes in the play like revenge, magic, colonialism, power, forgiveness, etc.
