Good Morning everyone, Today I am going to share my views on the topic “Gender discrimination”.
Gender discrimination is when someone is treated unequally or disadvantageously based on their gender.
With the prevalence of gender discrimination, and social norms and practices, girls become exposed to the possibility of child marriage, teenage pregnancy, child domestic work, poor education an d health, sexual abuse, exploitation and violence.
There are many reasons for gender discrimination like
uneven access to education, lack of employment equality, job segregation, lack of legal protections, lack of bodily autonomy, poor medical care, lack of religious freedom, lack of political representation etc.
Gender discrimination must be checked at every stage so that no person should be denied a chance to learn and grow. Thus, everyone, no matter male or female, must get a start in life in terms of education and other opportunities. We must come together as a society to do this.
