3 Minute Speech on Endangered Species in English for Students

Good morning. Today I am going to share my views on the topic “Endangered species”.

An endangered species is a type of organism that is threatened by extinction. They contribute to biodiversity, maintain ecosystem balance, and have economic value through ecotourism.

The decline of endangered species can have severe consequences for the environment, including trophic cascades, reduced ecosystem services, and negative effects on the economy.

Habitat loss is the primary cause of higher extinction rates. Other causes include habitat changes, over-exploitation of wildlife for commercial purposes, the introduction of harmful nonnative species, pollution, and the spread of diseases.

Protecting endangered species is crucial for maintaining the balance of our planet’s ecosystems, preserving biodiversity, and ensuring the sustainability of human populations.

Thank you.
