Good morning to everyone in this room. I would like to thank the principal, the teachers, and my dear friends for allowing me to speak to you today about trying is better than crying. Those who are successful never weep, and those who cry never become successful. These two traits are mutually exclusive. The world has produced a select few genuinely successful individuals because success is difficult and only a small percentage of the population actually achieves it.
The key to success is to keep trying without giving up. Achievement is surely extremely difficult to get. The path is paved with huge setbacks. Success is not for someone who finds setbacks scary. Persistence and the will to achieve are the only things that work.
Success and failure are two sides of the same coin, and life is full of ups and downs. Disappointments should never possess us, and we should realize that moping and sobbing over failures won’t lead to any improvements. Instead, we ought to approach it head-on, work harder, and show the world that we are real victors.
The late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, an ex-president of India, often emphasized that success requires challenges and that God allows us to grow through challenges and troubles. Also, he advised trying harder to uncover a valuable chance concealed inside the ruins when your dreams and goals are destroyed. Always try instead of crying. Thank you.
