2 Minute Speech On Raksha Bandhan In English

Good morning to everyone in this room. I would like to thank the principal, the teachers, and my dear friends for allowing me to speak to you today about Raksha Bandhan. The celebration of Raksha Bandhan honors the relationship between a brother and a sister.

Hindus observe this holiday. One of their most significant festivals is this one. In addition, siblings await it eagerly throughout the long year. In India, people observe it with great enthusiasm and excitement.

It also doesnโ€™t matter if youโ€™re a child or an adult. Raksha Bandhan is a festival celebrated by siblings of all ages. Also, it strengthens their relationship. The words โ€ Raksha โ€ and โ€ Bandhan โ€ are Sanskrit for โ€œprotectionโ€ and โ€œbond,โ€ respectively.

This clarifies the significance of the occasion.ย  The Hindu calendar is used to observe Raksha Bandhan. They celebrate it on the last day of the Sawan month, which is when it occurs. Only in August does this fortunate celebration often take place.

On this day, the brothers bless their sisters and promise to look out for them throughout their lives. The sisters also tie a holy thread on their brotherโ€™s wrist to wish him good health and long life. On this day, the sisters are showered with affection and pampering, typically in the form of chocolates, presents, cash, clothing, and other items.ย

In conclusion, one of the most delightful occasions is Raksha Bandhan. It enables the brother and sister to solidify their relationship. These days, even sisters without brothers join their sisters to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. Yet, the festivalโ€™s core remains the same. Thank you.
