Good morning to everyone in this room. I would like to thank the principal, the teachers, and my dear friends for allowing me to speak to you today about plants. Every tree that we currently see in our surroundings was once a little plant. We cannot overlook the many benefits that plants offer. All living things primarily eat from them.
They might not depend on us, yet they are unquestionably necessary for our survival. On our entire planet, there are more than 300,000 different plant species. The surroundings get more beautiful and lush as we grow more plants. Living close to greenery has been shown to make people happier and healthier in comparison to those who don’t.
All species on Earth depend on plants to survive since they give us food, habitat, medicine, and shelter. They generate food for all living things, transport water from the soil to the atmosphere, filter the air, chill the air, and stabilize the temperature by reflecting the sun’s damaging rays. Moreover, there are many medical uses for plants, including herbal medicine, one of the oldest forms of treatment.
Plants have an important role in the survival of all living things. We must care for plants since they are essential to our survival. Without them, all species in the world will suffer from a shortage of oxygen. Sadly, these trees are cut down to provide wood for furniture and other items. We need to understand that plants are living things, too. Hence, it is important to be knowledgeable about plants and to take the required steps to encourage the planting of trees. Thank you.
