2 Minute Speech On Human Rights Day In English

Good morning everyone present here, today I am going to give a speech on human rights day. Every year on December 10th, people all across the world observe Human Rights Day. It commemorates the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on December 10, 1948. Since then, several nations, including India, observe December 10 as National Human Rights Day.

Protecting and advancing a person’s human rights is the fundamental goal of celebrating Human Rights Day. These rights include those that must be granted to a person simply because they are a human being, as well as economic, social, fundamental, and other rights.

The day’s activities are focused on educating the populace about their own human rights. Additionally, it aims to instill a feeling of accountability in the authorities and hold them accountable for any violations of human rights.

There are billions of individuals who are oppressed and underprivileged in some form, despite the fact that more and more people are becoming educated and that the world is progressing. Many people do not have the same rights and benefits as the majority of us. Many people still experience discrimination because of their caste, creed, religion, socioeconomic status, or ethnicity. Human rights day addresses these issues and aims to make them more prominent in society.

Human rights day is a major occasion that must be observed with utmost care not only by government agencies but also by members of various societal groups. Thank you.
