Good morning everyone present here, today I am going to give a speech on father’s day. On June 19, 1910, America observed its inaugural Father’s Day in honor of Miss Sonora Smart Dooh’s father. William Smart, Sanora’s father, served in the Civil War. After his wife passed away, he raised his six children by himself. Our father deserves to know how much he means to us on this special day. On July 5, 1908, in Fairmont, West Virginia, Father’s Day was first observed. It was observed in honor of the 361 men who lost their lives in a coal mine explosion. During President Nixon’s administration, the day was formally declared a national holiday in 1972. The third Sunday in June is Father’s Day in nations including India, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
Every child expresses love and honor to his father on this day. The parent is the one who performs all of his duties without showing emotion. About the good and bad in the world, our father teaches us. As long as our father’s hand is on our forehead, we don’t need to worry about anything. Father’s Day is primarily observed to honor and remember all fathers who have dedicated a lot of time and effort to raising their children. However, fathers serve as their children’s true role models, serving as an inspiration to them since they were little. Every year, this is observed on the third Sunday in June. Thank you.
