Meditation is considered a type of mind-body complementary medicine. With time a lot of people are seen to practise this. It is believed to relax the mind and the body. It is an ancient practice. In India, meditation and yoga have been put into great importance as they are now being put into the education curriculum.
Students and teachers are being asked to take a period for this as well. While some of the people are against the practice of tradition, there are another big bunch of people who wholeheartedly believes in meditation.
