Crimes committed by minors are known as delinquency. There has been rise of juvenile delinquency over the years which has caused a great concern and has become the spotlight for attention. Juvenile delinquency can include crimes ranging from disorderly conduct, minor theft, and vandalism, to car theft, burglary, assault, rape, and murder. there are four main types under this term, they are – individual, group- supported, organized and situational delinquency. The rise for this very issue has been blamed upon the upbringing of a child, economic conditions, lack of education, and parental care. Adults use these kids since they can be easily manipulated as their minds are innocent. One of the greatest and most bewildering news regarding juvenile delinquency is the frightful incident called the Nirbhaya Delhi Gang Rape Case on December 16, 2012, which shocked the entire nation. The kids responsible for the gruesome act were just six months short to achieve the age of 18 years. The incident forced the Indian Legislation to introduce a brand new law and thus, the Indian Parliament came up with a brand new law which is understood as the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act, 2015.
