A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I’ll be giving a short speech on the topic of the importance of science.
Google defines the term ‘science’ to be “the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation, and the testing of theories against the evidence obtained.”
Simply put, “science is the pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence.” Thus evidential proof as a result of experimentations. This is precisely why science has become very important, especially in today’s times.
Science, especially scientific findings, is a game changer in numerous fields such as medicine, technology, and even war. Without science, a lot of diseases would still be life-threatening and many of the technological advancements we have today would be nonexistent. This, I’m sure, would put us back to the vulnerable human beings we had once been.
Science is our future.
