A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I�ll be giving a short speech on the topic of the importance of science.

Google defines the term �science� to be �the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation, and the testing of theories against the evidence obtained.�

Simply put, �science is the pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence.� Thus evidential proof as a result of experimentations. This is precisely why science has become very important, especially in today�s times.

Science, especially scientific findings, is a game changer in numerous fields such as medicine, technology, and even war. Without science, a lot of diseases would still be life-threatening and many of the technological advancements we have today would be nonexistent. This, I�m sure, would put us back to the vulnerable human beings we had once been.

Science is our future.
