A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of ‘Soldiers’.
Google defines the term ‘soldier’ to be “a person who serves in an army.” Wikipedia elaborates further on this. It states as follows: “A soldier is a person who is a member of an army. A soldier can be a conscripted or volunteer enlisted person, a non-commissioned officer, or an officer.”
Soldiers thus refer to uniformed officers who are engaged in military service. Qualities such as Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage are often associated with a true soldier.
Soldiers protect the borders of nations. Without them to safeguard the boundaries, citizens would be left unprotected and vulnerable to attack. Again, it is soldiers who valiantly fight in wars and protect their nations.
Louis de Bernieres has once said, “No man is a man until he has been a soldier.” Let us all thus vow to hail soldiers, our national heroes!
