A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of overpopulation.
Wikipedia defines the term ‘overpopulation’ to be “Overpopulation or overabundance is a phenomenon in which a species’ population becomes larger than the carrying capacity of its environment.”
However, taking into consideration that overpopulation is typically associated with the human race in general, let us focus on that particular aspect. After all, no concerns have been raised thus far with regard to other species!
George Morris has in fact defined overpopulation to be “when there are more people than can live on the earth in comfort, happiness, and health and still leave the world a fit place for future generations.”
China is the most populated country in the world, followed closely by India.
Overpopulation, in fact, levies a negative consequence for society and the environment at large. More people simply means a higher demand for necessities of survival, denting the already meagre resources!
