A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of networking.
Google defines the term networking to be �the linking of computers to allow them to operate interactively.�
Simply put, networking, in the literal sense, refers to �interconnected computing devices that can exchange data and share resources with each other.� Networking can be done by means of computers on a network being linked through cables, telephone lines, radio waves, satellites, or infrared light beams.
Such computer networking allows various benefits, such as sharing files and resources, sharing a single internet connection, and increasing storage capacity overall. It also allows room for better communication through a shared computer network. Time and again, computer networking has proven to be cost-efficient as well.
Broadly, networking can be categorized into 5 different types. They are Personal Area Network (PAN), Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Metropolitan Area Network (MAN), and Campus Area Network (CAN).
