1 Minute Speech on Luck In English

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of luck.

Google defines the term luck to be “success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one’s own actions.”

From this definition, it can be gathered that luck is not something finite or happens to be within the control of human beings. Rather, it is more associated with destiny or fate- wherein determines whether you have good fortune or not.

Interestingly, there exists a Greek Goddess of Luck and Hope- Tyche.

Believing in luck is something that can lead to both positive and negative consequences. On a positive level, one can find trinkets and other small items which they consider to be their ‘lucky charm’ to offer mental support and boost positivity.

An obsession with luck, however, is not healthy or advisable. One would then be overly invested in superstitions and taboos. Or, they might even take up undesirable activities such as gambling.

Thank you.
