Good morning to one and all present here. Today, I’ll be giving a short speech on the topic of India.
India is a tropical country situated in Asia. Studies point out that India is the largest country in South Asia and the 7th largest country in the world. India is also the second most populated country in the world after China.
India consists of 28 states and 8 union territories. The national anthem of India was penned by Rabindranath Tagore. Its national animal is the tiger. Its national sport is hockey. Its national flower, the lotus. India’s flag is of tricolor, saffron representing courage, white representing peace and the Chakra within, Dharma, and green representing fertility and growth.
India is a country rich in cultural heritage. Being a diverse and secular county, it is home to a variety of religions such as Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, and Sikhism, cultures, cuisines, and so on.
The current president of India 2022 is Draupadi Murmu with Narendra Modi as its Prime Minister.
