Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends, a wonderful morning to all of you. Today on this special occasion, I would like to speak some words on the topic- Freedom Struggle.
India’s freedom struggle for independence from British rule involved millions of people. Our great freedom fighters mobilised the masses so they could fight against the tyranny of the British rule and gain freedom. These heroes sacrificed their lives so that we could live in a free country.
Some of the milestone moments and popular movements of India’s freedom struggle were the Quit India Movement, the Non-Cooperation Movement, the Dandi March, and the Satyagraha Movement. All these ultimately led to India becoming a free nation on August 15th, 1947.
We must never forget the heroes who participated in our freedom struggle and won India its hard-earned freedom! Thank you for listening to me so attentively.
