Good morning to one and all present here. Today, I’ll be giving a short speech on the topic of “forgiveness”.
It is said that “To err is human; to forgive, divine.” Indeed, to forgive and forget is a virtue. It is a humane deed to do.
In our lives, there are people who would hurt us, consciously or unconsciously. They might say or do things that might harm us invariably. It is undeniably bad, yes.
However, to hold on to a grudge and remain bitter and angry over it is not good either. Some incidents might be unforgivable and too painful to forgive and I am not speaking of such things. More often than not, the things we remain salty over are little things, things we might have already been apologized to for. In such cases, we must always forgive them. Remaining bitter, in fact, takes a toll on us.
“Always. Always forgive. Don’t put it off”, said Pope Francis. Let us follow in his footsteps and forgive and forget!
