Cricket is a game played with a ball and a bat between two teams of eleven players each. It was invented in England, but has since gained popularity worldwide, especially in England’s former colonies. It is very popular in India, and you can see kids playing a game of cricket on almost every street corner.
This game of bat and ball has truly captured the heart of India. As a result, India has produced numerous cricket legends who have etched their names into the history of the game. Some of them include Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar, M.S. Dhoni and Virat Kolhi. India has won the Cricket World Cup two times.
