A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I’ll be giving a small speech on the topic ‘Clean India Green India’.
‘Clean India, Green India’ was an initiative started by the Indian Government under UNO’s Millenium Development Goals (MDG). It is otherwise known as the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ scheme or ‘Swachh Bharat Sundar Bharat’ campaign.
Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the aim of this objective is to make India a clean nation and protect the environment. It also aims to eliminate open defecation and strives for good hygiene and sanitation. So far, this great initiative is being successful and is making slow progress day by day in bringing awareness to people.
Segregate the waste and drop them accordingly in the bio-degradable and non-biodegradable bins. Remember that your house is also your home and ought to be kept clean.
