Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends. A wonderful morning to all of you. Today on this special occasion, I would like to speak some words on the topic- Books.
Books are an infinite source of knowledge and wisdom. Reading books helps us learn about the world around us. Books also teach us essential human values such as kindness, empathy, truthfulness, discipline and more. They help us improve ourselves so we can become full fledged individuals who contribute towards the progress of our society. Books also bring great joy to us, filling us with a sense of awe and wonder.
Everyone should be encouraged to read books, especially children. Reading books is a habit that has no demerits. The numerous benefits of reading books have been felt by every generation. So, it is no surprise that so many books have been written over the centuries.
To conclude, I would like to encourage everyone to read books! Thank you for listening to me so attentively.
