Subject: My Native Village
Dear Sally,
Take my love and affection. I hope you are hale and hearty by the grace of God. I’m also well by his blessings. In your last letter you wanted me to tell you about my native village since I told you I would be visiting it this weekend. I would be very glad to talk to you about it, since my native village is a beautiful place that I greatly cherish.
My native village is situated a few miles away from our town. My grandparents live there. My parents and I go to visit them at our native village every other week. My grandparents have been living in the village their entire lives, and my parents grew up there as well. Our house is one of the oldest houses here, and was built many decades before the independence of India.
So, it has a long history that has been passed down to us. The village landscape is untouched by the evils of urbanisation, so it is surrounded by a lot of greenery and clean air. The village has rapidly developed in the last few decades, and now most villagers enjoy modern facilities such as the internet and electricity just like townspeople do.
The village has a school with both primary and secondary sections in it, and both my grandparents and parents were educated there. Modern technology has brought many other benefits to the village as well, making agriculture and irrigation much easier and improving the lives of the village folk.
That’s all for today. Take care of your health and write to me whenever you have some time! I hope we can meet up soon!
Regards,
Leela D
