Subject– The importance of hobby.
Dear Kareem,
Hi there! How are you? How is your summer break going? I would have been bored out of my mind this past month if not for my love for stitching.
As you are well aware I love to stitch. I can stitch almost everything. Remember the time I stitched an apron for your mom? That turned out better than I had expected. That gave me an epiphany. I started stitching aprons and selling them! I started my own little venture as a small business. My store is online and it is going great. I started last month and so far I have sold 5 aprons. That is some progress.
As you can see, having a hobby is extremely beneficial. It makes you productive, gives you a purpose and reason to carry on with your day and makes bad days seem better. In some cases, like mine, it will also give you some extra cash. I channel all my energy towards stitching.
If I am angry I stitch, happy I stitch and if I am sad… you guessed right, I stitch. Now I am well aware that you are not exactly passionate about anything in particular, but try to be. Find that one thing that excites you more than anything else and hold onto it. Trust me it will help you a lot.
Let me know if you think of any hobbies and write to me soon.
With Love,
Malika U
