         I am writing this application to inform you that my grand-mother has expired this morning due to old age. The whole family is in a state of grief and sorrow. My grandma was very dear to my heart therefore I am in a deep shock. Please take notice of my absence from school for one week. I assure you to join the school from next week onwards.
