Subject: Application of leave for mother’s knee surgery
Sir,
With all due respect and honour, I would like to state that I would like to take leave for a week i.e. 1st of June 2022 till the 7th of June 2022 for my mother’s knee surgery. She has been having severe knee pain for the past decade and with time the pain had gotten worse making her unable to even stand for a long duration.
We visited the doctor last week and took several tests and scans. Based on the result, it was shown that my mother needed knee replacement surgery. Her knee joints are worn out making her mobility reduce. We were also told that she has Osteoarthritis. Concerning this, I would like to take a leave for one week to be with her and take care of her during her most crucial time.
I am the oldest in the family and apart from me being the only working child, I don’t want my other siblings to keep their studies aside. I will be back by the 8th of June 2022 with no delay.
I, therefore, kindly request you to grant me my leave for which I shall remain ever grateful.
