Subject: Application for the Position of Cook
Sir,
I am writing this letter to apply for the position of a cook at your hotel. Your hotel had recently advertised on social media about hiring new cooks, and I believe I fit the requirements. I have worked as a cook at a notable cafe before, and I am well trained in cooking many different varieties of food.
I specialise in cooking continental cuisine. I have attached my resume which includes the details of my last job here, as well as a letter of recommendation from the manager of the cafe. I had been awarded the “Employee of the Month” tag at this cafe 3 times, and my food was a great favourite with the regular customers as well. I had to unfortunately leave the job after 6 months because of the cafe being too far from my home.
I am a hard working individual who learns fast, and I will be a great addition to your chef’s team! I am currently a culinary student at an esteemed management university, and since I am in my last year, I am looking for a job. Thus, I would be forever grateful to you if you hire me for this position.
In addition, I have won several accolades and awards at my college, which I have mentioned in my resume. I am well mannered and cheerful and can assure that I will get along well with the rest of the team and adjust in no time. I can also easily access the hotel easily because I have a motorbike which I am quite adept at driving. I really hope you consider my application and hire me for the position.
