Dear friend,
A very happy Eid to you and your family. One of my friends invited me over to his house on the occasion of Eid ul Adha. I am going to tell you about my celebration of Eid ul Adha in this letter.
Needless to say, this is the first time that I celebrated Eid or went to a friends’ house on this occasion. I was a little nervous about what I should take as a gift for them but my friends refused to take any type of gift from me. My friend properly wished me Eid by hugging me three times.
He then brought the food, his mom cooked rajma chawal for us as she knew it was my favorite. We also ate the sweet dish that is especially prepared for this occasion- siwayi. We then drank a cup of tea as I talked to his father and discussed Indian classical music.
